Destino Tailandia – Logo and UI Design

This is the re-design of a forum website called Destino Tailandia (destination thailand) , a forum for all the Spanish speaking community in Thailand. I made this logo re-design with an adventure, travel feel to it. And for a community that has a wide variety of ideologies and thoughts; the logo has been embraced by all of them.
The logo, is complex to say the least, but it has all the meaning, symbolism and culture of the country represented in a word.
Soon I will be posting more shots of what will be the entire forum & website but by now, this is a small teaser of what it might be:
